About Best Bonsai Guide
“To grow a bonsai is to grow oneself.” – Master Mori
Ah… you’ve arrived at the heart of the garden. Come, rest beneath the shade of an old tree, and allow me to tell you a story.
Best Bonsai Guide began not in a grand garden or ancient temple, but in the hands of a father—busy, tired, and searching for peace in the quiet shaping of tiny trees. A dad of four energetic boys, he found in bonsai a rare stillness… a space to breathe, reflect, and create beauty one leaf at a time.
That man is me.
And this garden—this site—is the result of a decade-long journey with bonsai.
For over ten years, I’ve shaped, trimmed, overwatered, underwatered, failed, learned, and grown alongside these living works of art. It’s been the Serissa bonsai—delicate and stubborn—that taught me the most. From bare branches to blooming flowers, it showed me what patience and care truly mean. 🌸
But I don’t claim to be a bonsai master.
No, I am still a student on the path—just a little further along than some.
That’s why I created Best Bonsai Guide:
To share what I’ve learned with beginners,
To offer a peaceful space where we can all grow together,
And to invite others to share their own stories, mistakes, and victories.
Why Master Mori?
You’ll notice a voice echoing throughout the site. That is Master Mori—a warm, fictional mentor inspired by the wisdom of Uncle Iroh, the patience of ancient gardeners, and the playful spirit of nature itself.
Master Mori is the teacher I wish I had when I first began.
Gentle, humorous, and full of practical advice.
He’s here to guide, not preach.
To encourage, not overwhelm.
To remind us that bonsai is not just about perfect trees—but about the joy of nurturing life, one cut, one season, one mistake at a time.
